Stratek's ANTEC 2009 Technical Papers & NPE Show Exhibit

E-mail Print PDF

Stratek presented 3 technical papers during the Society of Plastics Engineers' ANTEC 2009 conference held at McCormick Place in Chicago from June 22 - 24, 2009.   The areas covered by the papers were color mixing, carbon nanotubes (CNT's), and nanoclay composites.   These papers outlined Stratek's advances in Extensional Flow mixing and blending, a technology which permits for low temperature, low pressure, and low shear processing resulting in significantly improved physical performance from the composite materials created by this method.   Stratek has patented their version of this process and named it Tek-Mix ®.   Click here for copies of Abstracts from the papers.

Stratek also exhibited at the NPE Show which ran concurrently with ANTEC.  At the show, Stratek revealed the latest advances in Tek-Mix® applications, all of which involved the ability to provide improved dispersion and distribution of additives and fillers, usually at significantly reduced processing temperatures.

Newsflash

European Conference Provides Warm Reception
Stratek presented its latest test results  featuring Tek-MixTM technology at a conference in Germany recently.  The presentation covered Stratek’s advances in mixing and blending  additives and fillers including carbon nanotubes (CNT’s), nanoclays, and pigments.   One of the main strengths of the Tek-MixTM technology is its ability to exploit the advantages of Elongational Flow for dispersing and distributing particles without causing excessive degradation to the host resins.
